The M16A1 is a military rifle that was developed in the 1960s and was used by the United States military during the Vietnam War. The M603 is a variant of the M16A1 that was designed for export to other countries. It has a 20-inch barrel and fires the 5.56x45mm NATO round. The M603 has a fixed stock and a triangular handguard with a heat shield. It features a safe/semi-automatic/burst selector switch, allowing the shooter to choose between firing modes. The M603 was used by several countries' military forces and law enforcement agencies in the 1970s and 1980s.
